Please come along to an advice/enrolment event on Thursday 4th January 2018 9.30-11.30am here at The Park Centre

To enrol, please bring some ID (such as a passport) and your National Insurance number.  We may ask you to complete a quiz that will help your tutor to help you.

Computer Courses for Retired People

This free computer course is aimed at helping those who feel technology has passed them by!

Come along and learn how to search the internet for information, shop online, check travel routes etc.

Stay in touch with friends and family using email and Skype.

Adult Learning

The Park Centre maintains close relationships with South Glos. Community Learning Service to provide free adult learning to the local community.

Beginners Computer Courses: introduce you to using the computer and gaining skills you can use for updating CV’s, cover letters, online searches, emailing, basic accounts and updating your overall knowledge of computers, the jargon used and e-safety.
All computer courses take place for two hours once a week.

Getting Started (IT for Beginners)
An introduction to using the computer including using the mouse / keyboard and using MS Word

Internet & Email
An introduction to internet searches, sending emails, email attachments and e-safety

Using ‘Word’ for Work
This course is for those who have some knowledge of MS Word, either self-taught or have attended a beginners course,  and would like to build on their skills. Topics include; formal letters, spell-checks, file management, inserting tables etc.

Introduction to spreadsheets
Beginners course using Excel to create a basic worksheet with an introduction to formulas, sorting / filtering list and graphs & charts
